Thrive Market Tests Retail Media Utilizing Instacart Carrot Ads

Health food marketplace Thrive Market announced a partnership with Instacart earlier this week. The partnership sees Thrive utilizing Instacart Carrot Ads technology to power its retail media offering. While small, Thrive Market has 1.5 million members and serves as a great testing ground for Instacart utilizing its in-house retail media tech offering as a white-label solution. It’s a win-win for both businesses: Thrive Market opens a new retail media revenue stream, and Instacart gets additional shopper data to improve its personalization plus additional revenue through a white-labeled tech offering.

Rufus, Amazon’s new AI-powered shopping assistant, helps users find products in the Amazon app. For now, Sponsored Ads will only appear in the US and will not be included in the metrics advertisers receive from Amazon, which may pose challenges.
