Amazon Accelerate 2024 Recap
Amazon Accelerate is over for this year! The Pacvue and Helium 10 teams had a great time in Seattle, meeting with sellers to learn about their business goals for 2025 and hear all about Amazon’s new announcements. Here are the top announcements from Amazon.
Amazon continues to make it easier to advertise off-site. With the Amazon DSP for Buy with Prime, it’s now easier for sellers to get visibility into the customer journey off-platform and, more importantly, target audiences based on Amazon data, your own eCommerce data, and even Google and Meta audience data. On stage, the team made the mission clear: you can use Amazon DSP to run ads across websites and streaming TV. These improvements give advertisers more tools to reach new-to-brand customers with more accurate off-site audience data than ever before.
All commerce starts and ends with the supply chain. Amazon announced Amazon Managed Ship, a new end-to-end supply chain solution that optimizes inventory placement and offers discounts on storage fees and transportation costs within the Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) ecosystem.
Amazon also presented multichannel fulfillment improvements that focused on cutting delivery time from five days to three days and making deliveries more transparent with features like “Where’s My Stuff,” which displays inventory status. The most fun detail was the upcoming debut of the Mach 30 drone: an ultra-fast new delivery drone that will be coming out in select markets next year.
The last day of Accelerate was all about AI. Amazon announced Project Amelia, a powerful new generative AI-based selling assistant for US-based sellers that provides personalized guidance and support. Sellers can ask Amelia questions like, “How is my business doing?” and it will provide instant and secure access to sales and business metrics, compare trends, and provide guidance.
Creating product listings also just got easier with Amazon’s revamped generative AI listing experience. Sellers can upload text, images, or a URL from their own brand website and the AI tool will convert those inputs to an Amazon format and fill out product attributes on your behalf.
Lastly, Amazon announced its new AI-powered video generator, enabling sellers advertising via Amazon Ads to create visually rich video content in a matter of minutes and at no additional cost. Using a single product image, Video generator instantly creates custom, AI-generated videos that showcase features.
